One of my goals for September was to get back into the habit of reading. Thanks to some great suggestions from friends I quickly fell back in love with it! Alex and I schedule regular library dates and tonight we're meeting up to check out a few new books. Got any recommendations? Here's what I read last month:
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
A pale view of the Hills by Kazuo Ishiguro

Right now I'm reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It's the best fantasy Novel I've ever read. And it's only his first book. Don't let the thickness of the book scare you. It goes by a lot faster then you think
Fabulous choices!! I love to read! Definitely read To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf and One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - they are beautiful and will change your life! I just read Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and loved that too! Be my friend on goodreads!

I'd love to know what some of you fav books are (I find it interesting and it would help me make recs). One of my biggest surprise loves in The Book Theif by Markus Zusak -- it's a Young Adult book, but it's great.
I have so many recommendations miss red lips, lets see I really loved the book Emma Brown by Clare Boylan and recently finished Saturday by Ian McEwan which was equally delectable
Have you ever read The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers? It's my favorite!
Wind Up Bird Chronicle is on my list for October too! I've read and reviewed some Murakami on my blog. Its all so good.
Ooh, The Wind up Bird Chronicles is really good!! If you don't mind me giving a suggestion, you should totally read The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, It's really just a collection of novellas but it's one of my favorite books, I think you'd like it too :)
