Some of these songs from the Joanna Newsom tribute album are divine, others are ballady or just plain goofy and worth skipping...you'll see, or maybe you won't. I really dig Ian Cookie's Monkey and Bear & Guy Buttery's instrumental version of The Book of Right On. So glad these songs exist...

Ooh, interesting. I love Joanna, and can see how some might work and others might not... I'll have to have a listen.
I love Joanna, and I was playing her the other day while I cooked. My mom was like "eeew what is up with this woman's voice?" and it got me wondering what Joanna Newsom covers would be like. I guess I know now! I think I still like her best of all, crazy voice or not.

I love Joanna, and this sounds great! Hooray. You should definately check out swansea by Bombay Bicycle Club though - lovely cover, and such an ace band!
